We adopted both of our dogs from this shelter. The first adoption occurred at the facility. The staff took time with us to assist with choosing the right pet. The dogs we saw were well cared for and appeared well fed. The second adoption occurred when the facility brought animals to a local pet store. With both adoptions, there was minimal paperwork and background ckecks. Again with both adoptions there was no followup as to the welfare of the dogs afterwards. The second dog was diagnosed with parvo and kennel cough two days after we adopted him. The shelter, upon notification, denied that the dog could have gotten sick at the shelter. Other dogs that were brought to the store were also sick and the shelter did nothing to safeguard the health of the other dogs present. I would still adopt from here again as these are the neediest of animals. However, I would be more cautious before bringing a new dog home.
